Prof. Dr. med.

Thomas Suedhof

Nobel Laureate

Bio

I am a German-American neuroscientist and Nobel Laureate, internationally recognised for my groundbreaking research on how brain cells communicate. Awarded the 2013 Nobel Prize in Medicine, my discoveries about neurotransmitter release at synapses have revolutionised our understanding of the human brain.

As a professor at Stanford University, I continue to lead cutting-edge research into the neurological foundations of behaviour and mental health. My lifelong dedication to uncovering the biological roots of human suffering aligns deeply with our mission.

As a member of the Paracelsus Recovery Medical Advisory Board, I ensure that our programmes are grounded in the latest scientific research and adhere to the highest clinical standards.
